IU Health Regional Campus — a multi-hundred-million-dollar healthcare investment — borders the SC commercial zone of the proposed site and is currently under construction. No comparable situation exists at any other Indiana limestone quarry location.

Eagle Marsh Adjacent

Eagle Marsh (831 acres) — one of the largest remaining interior wetlands in the Great Lakes basin — sits immediately adjacent. It is a critical bird migration corridor and regional flood control feature.

Urban Density

Allen County's 586 residents/sq mi puts ~62,400 people within 5 miles of this site. Alternative limestone counties average under 150 residents/sq mi — less than one-quarter the exposure.
