Organizations Standing With Us
When organizations stand with their community, it sends a clear message: this isn't a small pocket of neighbors — it's the community, broadly, saying no. The following organizations have publicly expressed opposition to the proposed quarry and asphalt plant.
The Southwest Allen County Schools Board of School Trustees is expressing strong opposition to the potential phased quarry operation and development near Lafayette Meadows Elementary School, introduced by The Heritage Group. Our commitment is clear and unwavering: to protect the safety and well-being of our students and staff and to preserve school environments that are secure, stable, and centered on learning. We have serious concerns about the impact this project may have on student health and safety, transportation routes, traffic patterns, and the overall integrity of the educational environment. Should a complete proposal be submitted, SACS will continue to advocate for decisions that prioritize the safety of our students and the protection of our school environments.
